Meet Mike.
My connection to this river started with my grandfather.
I’m Mike Duckworth. I was born in Jacksonville, and my grandfather lived in Palatka on Waterside—the street that gave my business its name. Fishing the St. Johns River with him sparked a lifelong love of the water.
My career began in IT, but fishing eventually took me to the Florida Keys. I raised my family there and spent about six years running the day-to-day business at Florida Keys Outfitters, bringing together my work in technology and my love of fishing.
Now I’m back in Palatka. Through Waterside Solutions, I help businesses with websites, online stores and everyday systems. Fish Palatka brings that work home to the river, the local businesses and the places that make a fishing day here worth planning.
